Operator Contract Readiness
For Contractors
Your craft, your purpose.
Your HSE, our priority.
Every week, experienced operators leave larger companies to start their own contracting firms. Most are exceptional at what they do. Very few have the HSE infrastructure required to work directly with major operators, so they pay 10% to 20% of their revenue to operate under someone else’s MSA. That arrangement is a ceiling on growth, not a business model.
Hunterman works with contractors across every stage of HSE maturity. Newly formed companies operating under a borrowed MSA. Established contractors are tightening their ISNetworld grade. Growing firms are preparing for their first direct major operator contract. Every engagement starts the same way: with an audit. Because we do not recommend what we have not diagnosed.

Organization-Level Engagement Policy
At HCS, we partner with contractors through a single designated organization, providing support and guidance at the organization level. Engagements are scoped, managed, and billed through one contracting entity rather than being separated across regions, subsidiaries, business units, or individual projects.
This approach allows us to work alongside your team in building a consistent, effective HSE program across your organization. It also helps us maintain the trust, confidentiality, and personalized support that are essential to every client relationship.

The Audit
HSE Readiness Audit
The entry point to every contractor engagement with HCS. A fixed-scope assessment of your current HSE program, ISNetworld status, training infrastructure, documentation, and operator-readiness gaps. Delivered as a written report with prioritized findings. Every engagement begins here.
What Follows
Scoped From the Audit
For some contractors, the audit reveals the need for a full HSE program built from scratch—something the team can complete in under 30 days because the standards already exist in OSHA and only require adaptation to the operator’s expectations. For others, the audit reveals targeted remediation of specific gaps. For others, the audit still reveals ongoing maintenance, and support is the right next step. The work is scoped and priced based on what the audit reveals—not on a prepackaged program.
Why HCS
Knowledge Most Consultants Do Not Have
HCS is the only HSE firm auditing contractor readiness while actively supporting a top-five U.S. integrated oil and gas operator on the other side of the MSA. Every audit is informed by what operators actually evaluate, not what a compliance template assumes they evaluate. The standards themselves do not change contractor to contractor; OSHA is OSHA. What changes is where the operator will look first, and what the operator will flag. Hunterman knows.
Not Sure Where to Start? Let's Change That.
Are you a new contractor trying to build the foundation for growth? Whether you need standards, training programs, a training matrix, ISNetworld® support, or help understanding what clients expect, HCS can help. We don't prescribe solutions before understanding your business—we identify the gaps, develop a plan, and help you build a contract-ready operation. If you're not ready for an audit or don't know where to start, let's talk before an issue, audit, or missed opportunity costs you business.
Want bigger contracts? Let's talk.
After the audit, the work is scoped from what the audit reveals. Common engagements include the following. Every one begins with a diagnosis.
Custom OSHA-aligned and operator-aligned policies, SOPs, safety manuals, and compliance documents tailored to your operations and audit requirements.
Role-based safety training covering critical topics including Working at Heights, Hot Work, LOTO, Excavation, and regulatory compliance. Delivered onsite, remotely, or as customized materials your team can use independently.
Structured root cause analysis using proven methodology. Identifies contributing factors and delivers clear, actionable corrective and preventive actions.
Role-based training requirement mapping and tracking systems. Audit-ready and built to your operational structure.
Setup, maintenance, and ongoing management of your ISNetworld account. All HSE compliance documentation and verifications handled.

Two Service Lines.
One Advantage That Flows Both Ways.
HCS’s two service lines are not independent products sold to different customers. The two sides inform each other in real time, and each side of the business makes the other one stronger.
For Operators
On-Demand Project Support
HCS personnel deployed to your site carry direct knowledge of what your contractors typically get wrong—because that same team is actively auditing contractors and building HSE programs for them at the same time. Your support staff arrives already calibrated to the gaps you are most likely to find. That is knowledge a general staffing firm cannot deliver.
For Contractors
Operator Contract Readiness
The HSE program built for you is informed by what major operators are flagging right now. Not six months ago. Not in a published industry standard. Right now—because HCS personnel are in operator audits the same week they are sitting with you. The program you receive reflects current operator expectations, not generic compliance templates.
Both sides benefit from the same knowledge flow. Neither side has to accept a generic product.
